Floor Scales

Heavy-duty industrial floor scales designed for pallet weighing, shipping docks, forklift loading, and industrial freight staging. Constructed with welded structural steel channel subframes and diamond tread top decks, our floor scale packages provide non-deflecting durability under severe 5,000 lb to 20,000 lb shock loads. Each floor scale package includes pre-calibrated digital weight readouts. Pair with our Digital Weight Indicators or review specialized piece-count solutions in our Counting Scales Hub.

Technical FAQ & Engineering Specifications

What platform size and capacity do I need for forklift and pallet weighing?
The standard industrial pallet size is 48" x 48" (4x4 ft) with a 5,000 lb capacity. For oversized skids or dual-pallet staging, 60" x 60" (5x5 ft) and capacities up to 10,000 lbs or 20,000 lbs are standard.
What is the advantage of welded structural channel over sheet metal decks?
Heavy-duty industrial floor scales utilize structural steel channel sub-frames with diamond tread top plates. This construction prevents deck deflection, protects shear beam load cells from shock loads, and ensures long-term calibration stability under heavy forklift traffic.
Are floor scales suitable for washdown and food processing environments?
Yes. For food processing, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants, 304 or 316 stainless steel floor scales with hermetically sealed IP68/IP69K stainless load cells and sanitary washdown deck designs are required to resist caustic sanitizing chemicals.
How are floor scales calibrated upon delivery?
ScaleMart pre-calibrates floor scale indicator packages prior to freight dispatch using NIST-traceable Class F test standards. In-situ recalibration can also be performed post-installation by your local certified weights and measures agency.
